The Green House model was started more than a decade ago to transform long-term care and bring it into the 21st century. They have embedded their vision to depart from institutionalized appearance and create real homes while maintaining an excellent quality of life and care in all parts of the United States.
Cedar Sinai Park believes that adopting the philosophy of The Green House Project – real home, meaningful life, and empowered staff – affirms our Jewish beliefs in honoring our fathers and mothers.
It is our mission to ensure our residents have intrinsic motivators such as autonomy, growth and meaning. Our staff bridge the identity of who our residents are now and where they are going, ensuring that their lives remain full of purpose. We provide many opportunities to receive as well as give within their home or within their community. Residents retain options to engage in everyday life activities, like doing their own laundry, assisting with cooking and participating in civic engagement.
A Meeting of Philosophy & Vision
Although CSP implements many of the technological advancements in our workplace, we are deeply vested in the ongoing journey of living with meaning, purpose and connection. The clinical model and the use of technology allow for excellence in aiding the physical needs of our elders, but we place the most importance on building powerful and deep relationship to heal one’s whole self.
The Green House model empowers and encourages everyone, including elders, family members, and staff, giving each of them a voice. The philosophy of the Green House strives for care communities such as ours to demonstrate more powerful, meaningful and satisfying lives, work and relationships.
Cedar Sinai Park has always been and will continue to be thought leaders for the continuation of life.
